Christmas DIY – Marshmallow & Greeting Cards

So after looking at many recipes and figuring out what I can do with my schedule, I’ve decided to try making homemade marshmallow as this year’s Christmas gift. I’ve also made some DIY Christmas cards. I hope the people receiving them will like my creations. Here are some pictures of the strawberry marshmallow and cards:

Now that this part is done, I’ll need to spend sometime drumming up a menu for our family’s Christmas dinner.Since we will be dog sitting during the holidays, I want to do make a head dishes and limit my time in the kitchen to a minimal so I can spend some time with the dog. I plan to do a rib roast for the main course but what should I serve as the appetizer and sides?  For dessert I’ll be making creme caramel. Last week I tested a recipe which turned out very nicely and it’s super easy to make. The only tricky part is to time the caramel right so it isn’t too bitter.

So, what do you think?
